Vince Gilligan introduces the world to the harsh reality of life, not just in the United States of America but globally. Breaking Bad is a perfect example of an awe-inspiring, mind-blowing and breathtaking drama series on TV. Personally, I found this TV show as a gripping-tale of heartbreak, shock and emotion. My family members constantly discussed the captivating nature throughout the series; I had a summer to watch all the box sets I wanted and took full advantage. What interested me the most is the character, Jesse Pinkman who seems a ruthless and rebellious person. He does not abide the law and does whatever he pleases. However, later on in the series, his character comes off as emotionally damaged and utterly vulnerable to the realities of his life. The contrast between the same character captivated me to my very soul and compelled my eyes to permanently glue to my TV screen.
Gilligan has set the bar exceptionally high for new drama shows that are coming through. The use of experienced actors such as Bryan Cranston and Dean Norris had enabled more inexperienced actors such as Aaron Paul to become the greatest actors to this day. Aaron Paul gained unspeakable praise for his role as Jesse Pinkman in Breaking Bad and is going on to greater things like being the lead role in Need for Speed. Gilligan's dramatic tension throughout Breaking Bad engaged a fuller audience year after year; people to this day are still watching it. Breaking Bad has demolished the bar of the other top drama series. Why? Well, it's simply because the other top drama series do not have that realism in Breaking Bad that is specially reserved for this show.
Breaking Bad has been dubbed IMBD's top TV show of all time which just goes to show the exhilarating stories each series has to offer. The general criticism made towards this show is that people are able to learn through the lifestyle run by the characters of Walter White, Jesse Pinkman and even Gustavo Fring. In spite of the fact that the series involves terrible outcomes from the terrible decisions made, some drama critics have agreed that the show is too explicit to even be on television. Yet, even the critics are lost for words when it comes down to the excellency of Breaking Bad.
Personally, I believe that forty-five minutes of your time each day will be the greatest forty-five minutes of your life (in terms of television, anyway).
