First year of University
Joining a society was advised to me in order to make friends. I have joined the English society but am enjoying it. But the problem with me is that I want to turn up for my seminar or lecture then head straight home. I should socialise more and explore london with my friends. I have made a couple of friends who I share a seminar or two with and they're lovely girls. Only, it is still so awkward with everyone else in the class, and I just don't know how to talk to anyone. At sixth form, my confidence heightened, and now it has gone back down again. These new students have me all nervous. I'm worried they know what they're talking about and I'm just sat here like what are you on about? Then again, they probably do the reading every week and then there's me like lol. What is reading? English is hard, but I'm sure I'll prevail. I hope the elder students are right in saying that the first year of uni is more about having fun than it is about academia. Because I'm doing a bloody good job of it right now!
